Bathroom Project

Scope of Project: To renovate bathroom on a limited budget within 1 month max.
Client’s requirements: Update of existing bathroom with a Cape Cod feel.

The clients had a very limited budget but wanted to use my services as an interior decorator.  With a very limited budget I believe I gave them what they were looking for.

In reviewing the bathroom I suggested the clients work around the existing flooring as it was in excellent shape.  This would save them some money, and this became the impetus for the design of the space.

I decided it best to use the client’s existing cabinets as this would have been too costly to replace.  My contractor added simple mouldings on the cabinet faces.  I completed the look with new hinges and pulls and had a periwinkle blue paint applied to the cabinets.  The existing mirror became a project for the homeowners and I to tackle.  We applied an antique style finish with paint to give the mirror an old feel.  The countertops were removed and replaced with 2” matte white tiles.  The fixtures were all replaced including the sink, toilet, and bathtub in a neutral white finish.  All faucets and taps were replaced with more current styling.  Finally a fresh shower curtain and coordinating towels and accessories were added.
